MG ZS EV to be launched in 10 new cities in India


One month after announcing the used MG Reassure vehicle unit, where you can buy used MG ZS EV, MG announced the second round of expanded availability of the new electric car. The company announced that it will launch the MG ZS EV in 10 new cities in India.

The MG ZS EV was originally available in Delhi / NCR, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. In June, the MG ZS EV became available in 6 additional cities in India - Pune, Surat, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Chennai and Cochin. There are a total of 11 cities in India where the fully electric SUV has been available since then. Soon there will be 10 new cities that will number 21 cities. Together with the announcement of the extended availability in June, MG had introduced a contactless technology suite 'Shield +' and new disinfection methods. It had combined with Medklinn's Cerafusion sterilization technology for the sterilization of vehicle cabins.

Thanks to a new used vehicle unit 'MG Reassure', customers can now buy used MG ZS EV from MG. MG acquires used MG ZS EV under MG Reassure. These used units undergo various checks and receive the necessary repairs. After that, customers looking for a used MG ZS EV can buy it directly from the company.

According to MG, a customer can sell their MG ZS EV through MG Reassure without having to buy a new MG vehicle. In other words, this is not an exchange program. The vehicle then goes through more than 160 quality checks and, if necessary, the company repairs it before it is offered for sale. Every used MG ZS EV in India comes with a 3 year / unlimited km warranty, 3 year breakdown assistance and 3 free services.

MG surprised everyone with the launch of the MG ZS EV at a price of 20.88 rupees from the New Delhi showroom in January. The ZS EV is available in two versions - ZS EV Excite Price at Rs 20.88 lakh and ZS EV exclusive at Rs 23.58 lakh ex showroom New Delhi. Delivery for ZS EV started in January in 5 cities - Delhi / NCR, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

And those who booked the electric SUV on or before January 17, 2020 will receive Rs 1 lakh less as a special introductory price. For a trouble-free ownership experience, MG has introduced eShield, a free 5-year manufacturer's guarantee for unlimited kilometers on the car and an 8-year / 150,000 km guarantee on the battery. MG Motor also offers roadside assistance (RSA) around the clock for 5 years as well as 5 non-working services.

The ZS EV is powered by a 44.5 kWh battery that drives a front electric motor. With an output of 105 kW and an instant torque of 353 Nm, the ZS EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h to a top speed of 140 km / h in just 8.5 seconds. The battery has one Range of 340 km / charge and can be charged up to 80% in 50 minutes by a 50 kW quick charger installed at MG dealers.

The Excite variant is equipped with automatic projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, keyless entry, 17-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, tire pressure monitoring system and electronic parking brake. The exclusive variant offers a power-adjustable driver's seat, a PM 2.5 filter in the cab, a panoramic sliding roof and rain wiper. Six airbags, ABS, ESC, hill start assist, hill descent control, rear parking camera and sensors are standard equipment.

MG Motor claims that the ZS EV costs under Rs 1 per km, calculated up to 100,000 km with preventive maintenance including parts, consumables, labor and taxes, and from January 2020 electricity tariffs in Delhi-NCR.

MG Motor India installed 10 DC chargers at dealerships across India to solve customers' range issues. The automaker has partnered with Fortum Charge & Drive India to set up 10 super fast charging stations of 50 kW and 50 kW in MG showrooms in the 5 cities where the car was launched.
